My Style My System … Foods That Beautify

6_raw-honey

Apple Cider Vinegar … hair rinse – eliminates product build-up.

Once a week after shampooing – mix 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar and 1 cup of water – apply to hair – leave on while you finish showering – rinse and condition.

Avocado + Egg Yolk … hair mask – strengthens, softens, adds incredible shine.

Place a peeled avocado and egg yolk in blender – work through hair – leave on while showering – rinse.

Raw Honey + Lemon … face mask – exfoliates, fades discolorations, smoothes.

Warm 1 TB of raw honey (raw, unheated – natural enzymes and antibacterial properties remain intact) and juice of 1/2 a lemon – apply to face – let sit for 20 minutes – rinse.

Walking … A Lost Art

5731441-fantasy-futuristic-modern-woman-in-fashion-dress-walking-urban-scenery-illustration

Explore and discover a glorious place to walk at least a few times a week. This could be your ideal physical activity, strengthening and invigorating your wonderful self.

Important to wear supportive walking shoes.

Walk slowly at first and when you feel ready, quicken your pace. Walk tall, shoulders back, core muscles engaged, with a heel to toe step.

If you like … challenge yourself by performing intervals – walk very quickly towards a landmark … then continue on at a moderate pace … performing this as many times as you feel comfortable.

If you like … challenge yourself by walking up a hill or two, but always work up to this gently … over the course of a few days or weeks, depending upon your abilities.

Most importantly, walk thoughtfully. Noticing everything.
